It is said that when Abu Salem asked Gulshan Kumar to give 5 lakh rupees every month, Gulshan Kumar refused and said that by paying so much money, he would organize a Bhandara in Vaishno Devi. At the same time, it is mentioned in S Hussain Zaidi's book 'My Name is Abu Salem' that underworld don Abu Salem had asked Gulshan Kumar to give 10 crores in exchange for his life.
At that time, Gulshan Kumar said that instead of giving him money, he would get Bhandara done in Vaishno Mata's temple with that money. Let us tell you that even today Bhandara runs in the name of Gulshan Kumar in Jammu. Very few people know that his father Chandrabhan had a juice shop in Delhi's Darya Ganj area, where Gulshan used to work with him. Yes, Gulshan Kumar used to help his father at the juice shop and it was from here that he became interested in the business and after that he founded T-Series, today his son is the owner of T-Series.
