New Delhi: The corona epidemic has created a lot of panic across the country and the Central government is gearing up to increase the production of corona vaccines amid the outbreak of the second wave of corona infection in the country. The Ministry of Science and Technology has issued a statement saying that in order to accelerate the production of indigenous vaccinein India, the government is providing financial assistance to vaccine manufacturers under the Department of Biotechnology. Under this, the production capacity of the vaccine is expected to double by May-June.
On the other hand, 10crore doses of vaccine will be ready every month by September 2021. State that covaccin will also be produced at Bharat Immunological and Biological Limited (BIBCOL) located in Chola area of Bulandshahr. The Union Health Ministry has approved the construction of a co-scene in bibcol company. The Health Ministry has also approved a budget of Rs 30 crore to make the company a covaccin.
An MoU has also been signed between vaccine maker Bharat Biotech and Bibcol. According to the report, production of covaccin in Bulandshahr will start from August-September and 2 crore doses will be produced here every month. At present, the technical team of the company is engaged in mobilizing the resources required to prepare the vaccine.
