Jammu, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) suspended ten officials, including three doctors for unauthorised absence from duty in Katra town of Reasi district.

The SDM found ten officials absent from duty during a surprise inspection of the Community Health Centre (CHC) Katra and the Municipal Committee yesterday.

An official spokeperson said that the SDM ordered suspension of all the officials.

A number of doctors have been absent from their jobs since years and the governments don’t have much clue about them either. 

The patients are then made to wait the entire day for a chance to speak to a doctor.
