Lahiri, Aditi, Diksha, Mirza and Khan have been included in the core group, while golfers Shubhankar Sharma, Tevesa Malik and judoka Yash Ghangas, Unnati Sharma and Linthoi Channambam will be placed in the 'Development Group'. .

According to the Sports Authority of India (SAI), after the addition of new players, the total number of TOPS has increased to 301. The 21-year-old, who hails from Jhajjar in Haryana, had finished 50th in the Olympic Games last year. Judokas Ghangas (above 100kg), Channambam (57kg) and Unnati (63kg) also won silver medals at the Asia-Oceania Junior Championships in Lebanon last month.
