Saharanpur: The Saharanpur district court has imposed a 10-year jail term and a fine of 32000 rupees on a relative accused of raping a teenager. The case was also included in ten heinous crime cases of the Poxo Act by the police. The DIG has rewarded the advocate with a cash reward of 1000 rupees. Assistant Government Prosecutor Meghraj Singh Saini said that the teenager, who lives in a Mohalla in Mandi Kotwali area, was raped by his relative, Mohalla Anand Nagar resident of Qutubsher police station area.
The teenager's mother had filed a report against the buff. The police had detained the buff two days later. It was said that the charge sheet was filed in the court after the investigation. The hearing was held in the court of Additional Sessions Judge (Room No.8) Lalitha Gupta. The court found the buff guilty of rape on the basis of evidence and witnesses. He has been sentenced to 10 years rigorous imprisonment.
32000 is also punished with penalty. The Director General of Police of UP had directed strong lobbying to bring the accused to book in the POCSO Act cases and directed DIG to monitor for strong lobbying by marking 10 cases at each range level. Ten cases were also included from Saharanpur range, four from Saharanpur, three from Muzaffarnagar and three from Shamli Janpad.
