New Delhi: An open letter has been written to PM Narendra Modi on behalf of 100 former civil service officers. The group of former civil service officers raised questions about the transparency of the PM's Cares Fund on Saturday in their open letter. "Transparency in PM's cares fund is essential to maintain the level of public accountability," he said. "To prevent any disturbances, the fund's contributors and the data spent from it should be provided to all."

In a letter to the former civil service officers' group, the group wrote, "We are constantly monitoring the PM Cares Fund and its related debates to provide relief to all those affected by the Corona epidemic. The two things for which the fund was created and the way it has been run leave without answering many questions," the letter adds, "It is necessary to maintain transparency, the credibility and respect of the Prime Minister's office by maintaining transparency in all things related to PM."

The Centre launched the Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM-CARES) Fund in March 2020 after the corona epidemic was knocked out in India. The aim is to help citizens in dealing with any kind of emergency situation and to provide relief to the victims.
