New Delhi: This year's Republic Day parade will be different in many ways, as it will mark the confluence of the country's heritage, growing defence power and 'self-reliant India.' Ahead of the Republic Day parade, Major General Alok Kakkar has started several new events involving the Indian Army and forces in the upcoming events. Listing the hierarchy of the much-awaited parade by the Indian Army, he said that the laser projection will also be the centre of attraction.

During a press conference, Major General Kakkar said, "AVSM GOC General VK Sharma and I will lead the Parade, Chief of Staff Delhi area will be at the second position. We will be followed by two Param Vir Chakra recipients. Captain Joginder Singh and Subedar Ashok Kumar. The event will be fully followed by the corona rules, in which 1000 drones will show their show on the theme of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav this year at the Beating Retreat.''
