Government efforts are on to bring electric cars in India. The result of which we also get to see often. Recently, the Transport Minister of Delhi, Kailash Gehlot, in a meeting with the Energy Minister, said that subsidy will be given to 1,000 electric buses in the capital under the new electric vehicle policy of Delhi Government.

In a statement isued by the Delhi Government, it was said that "Establishment of charging infrastructure in Delhi-NCR has also been consulted in the presence of state and central government officials". In which the first phase of this policy is aimed at setting up 200 charging stations in Delhi in the next one year, so that a charging station can be set up within every 3 km. On this subject, Delhi Transport Minister Gehlot also tweeted that "I had a meaningful meeting with the Honorable Energy Minister today. He further wrote that heartfelt thanks and gratitude for your appreciation on the Delhi Electric Vehicles Policy." Let me tell you, the discussion of Delhi EV policy is now happening all over the world. Gehlot said that this is the result of hard work of the last two years by the Delhi government in consultation with experts. Due to which the discussion of EV policy of Delhi is in the world today.

The thing to note here is that the EV policy of Delhi Government was introduced on August 7 by CM Arvind Kejriwal. The target of this policy has been set to register 5 lakh electric vehicles (ie 25 percent of India's total new vehicle registrations) in Delhi by 2024. In such a situation, the subsidy given for charging stations and 1,000 electric buses will be successful in accelerating the new policy of Delhi Government.
