Palamu: In Jharkhand's Palamu district, three persons sitting on a platform after taking a bath in a river were hit by a high-tension line. It took everyone's lives on the spot. After the accident, there was anger among the people of the village. The people of the village blocked the road and shouted slogans against the electricity department and later the officials have calmed down the matter.

In fact, on Tuesday afternoon, some people in Lahar Banjari village were sitting on a public platform after taking a bath in the Koel river and were taking sunlight. In the meantime, due to the wind blowing, the 11,000-volt high tension wire broke and fell. Three persons lost their lives on the spot due to its impact. Three people were injured there. Many people survived.

The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Suresh Chaudhary, 42-year-old Butan Chaudhary, 24-year-old Kushwar Chaudhary, residents of Nawadih Tola in Lahar Banjari village. There was a commotion in the village after the accident. Three people were injured there. The condition of one of them is said to be serious. All three have been admitted to the referral hospital at Mazhigaon in Garhwa for treatment. The injured include 65-year-old Lakhan Chaudhary, 62-year-old Ram sunder Chaudhary and 63-year-old Ramkeshwar Chaudhary. The matter was reported to Mohammadganj power sub-station, but by the time the power supply was cut off, three persons had lost their lives. After the information, police from Untari, Pandu, Rehla reached the spot. Circle Inspector Rajballabh Paswan tried to convince everyone, but the affected families and villagers stuck to the demand for compensation. Thereafter, the matter was calmed down by explaining. The case is being investigated by the police.
