Myanmar: 113 people died in landslide due to heavy rain

Rangoon: Due to heavy rains in Kachin province of Myanmar, a major accident has occurred on Thursday morning. Due to the torrential rains here, the land of the mine has sunk. 113 laborers have died in this accident while many others are still buried under debris. The Myanmar Fire Brigade has informed that 113 bodies have been pulled out of the debris while others are being searched.

A local official of the Ministry of Information, Tar Lin Maung, said that so far we have recovered more than 100 bodies. Now more bodies are trapped in mud. The number of dead is going to increase. The area has been receiving heavy rains for the past one week, which is also causing trouble in the rescue work. It is noteworthy that many people have lost their lives in these jade mines earlier. On giving information, the eyewitnesses said that they saw people on a pile of debris that was on the verge of collapse. Shortly after, the whole debris from the hill came down full which killed hundreds of people.

A similar incident happened in Myanmar even a year ago, in which 59 people were killed. While hundreds of people were injured due to debris.
