Passenger bus collides with road roller in Haridwar, 12 injured

Haridwar: In Uttarakhand, on Friday morning, the State Transport Corporation bus going from Haridwar to Dehradun hit the road roller standing on the roadside. The accident occurred near the Motichur flyover, in which about a dozen people boarded the bus were injured. As soon as the information was received, the Raiwala police reached the spot and took out the driver trapped in the bus.

After this, the police took all the injured to AIIMS Hospital for treatment with the help of local people. It is being told that the bus driver was driving the bus at high speed. He was not listening to anyone even after repeated interruptions by the passengers. Some passengers have told that after leaving from Haridwar it was going towards Dehradun at high speed, overtaking the vehicles.

Meanwhile, as soon as the bus driver tried to overtake a sugarcane tractor after landing from Motichur flyover, the bus suddenly collided with a road roller parked on the side of the road. The collision was so severe that the bus is completely damaged. It is being told that the passengers sitting on the front of the bus have suffered serious injuries.
