In Mizoram, 123 people, including four policemen who returned after election duty in West Bengal, have been affected by corona virus infection. With this, the cases of infection in the North Eastern State have reached 8,499.

Out of these 123 new cases, 101 were reported in Aizawl district, 8 kolacib, six serchip, two lunglei and one each in Chamfai and Hanahathiyal districts, an official said on Saturday. In this regard, he has said that 29 children including two health care workers and a one month old child were among the infected.

According to the information received, 2,065 patients in Mizoram are still undergoing treatment for Covid-19 while 6,411 people have recovered from the infection.
23 people have lost their lives due to this epidemic in the State. Meanwhile, state immunization officer Dr Laljawmi said 2,32,737 people had taken the first dose of covid-19 anti-vaccine and 51,890 of whom had taken both doses.
