Varanasi: 125 corona-infected cases have been stirred up in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. CMO Varanasi says that the BHU lab was not able to get data entry due to a server shutdown for 2 days. Now, after 125 cases have been reported, the health department has activated the monitoring committees.

The CMO said that the education department will also have a team of teachers from tomorrow for contact tracing of new corona patients, and the ICDS Anganwadi team has also been activated as a monitoring committee in rural areas. He said that 250 Education Department teachers will be put on duty in contact tracing from tomorrow. CMO Varanasi said that L1 and L2 hospitals will be resumed within 5 days if required, at present BHU has a capacity of 400 beds and Deendayal Hospital has a capacity of 200 beds.

In UP, 1,230 new cases have been registered in 24 hours on Wednesday. Of these, 361 cases have been reported in Lucknow and 100 in Varanasi. In Prayagraj, 213 new cases were reported in a single day and two persons died. 7 professors from Lucknow University have also been found corona infected. The number of cases in the state has more than doubled in the last week.
