Mumbai: The situation in Maharashtra is not good due to monsoon rains. The situation here has become worse in the last two days. So far, about 129 people have embraced death in various rain-related incidents. There are still many people who are buried under the debris. Recently, the Maharashtra Disaster Management Department has informed that these people have died due to landslides, rain, and floods. Even now, the difficulties of Maharashtra do not seem to be easing. In fact, the MET department has issued a forecast of the next 24 hours, and according to that, the western part of Maharashtra may still witness heavy rain in the near future.

Besides Maharashtra, heavy rain has also been warned for Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Telangana, coastal areas of Karnataka, South Karnataka. Maharashtra is followed by Karnataka from where pictures of too much waterlogging have surfaced on the roads. Heavy rains caused landslides near Talai, a village in Maharashtra's coastal Raigad district.

So far, 44 people have lost their lives in the accident. Last Friday, 32 bodies were recovered from Talai and the rest from nearby villages. Talking about this, District Collector Nidhi Chaudhary had said, "A total of 44 people have died in 2 separate landslide incidents in Raigad district of Maharashtra. More than 25 people are still buried under the debris.''
