Two major accidents in Mumbai, a part of flyover under construction collapsed

Mumbai: Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra and the country's economic city, has recently battled with a major accident. In fact, a portion of the flyover under construction collapsed here today, Friday morning. Several laborers were reportedly injured in the accident and have been admitted to a hospital. The incident is said to be from the Bandra Kurla Complex area of Mumbai. Both police and fire brigade teams rushed to the spot as soon as the flyover collapsed. Relief and rescue operations are currently underway.

According to a well-known news agency, a portion of an under-construction flyover collapsed at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai. Meanwhile, a fire officer present at the spot said, "A portion of an under-construction flyover suddenly collapsed around 4.45 am this morning. As a result, 13 people sustained minor injuries and have been taken to a nearby hospital. The best part during this period is that no damage has been reported in the incident so far. Police and fire teams have reached the spot and are engaged in relief and rescue operations, though the reason for the collapse of the flyover is yet to be ascertained.''

On the other hand, another incident took place in Mumbai in the early hours of Friday. In fact, a fire broke out in a junkyard in Mumbai's Mankhurd area in the morning. The fire was so severe that it was seen to be engulfed for a long time. Six fire tenders are said to have reached the spot after the fire broke out in the junkyard and efforts are currently being made to douse the fire.
