The Mizoram government has said that 140 new cases of covid have been reported in the state in the last one day. The total number of positive cases is now 6,019 in which 1123 active cases, 4,882 discharged cases and 14 deaths have been reported.

It has been learnt that last Sunday, the Union Health Ministry said that 2,43,917 vaccine doses have been administered in the state so far. Out of these, 1,99,993 people have been given at least one dose and 43,924 people have been given both doses. In India, new cases of covid virus infection continue to rise. A record 3.79 lakh new cases were reported in a day on Thursday.

According to the Health Department, the total number of infection cases in India has gone up to 1,83,76,524. The number of active patients is 30,84,814 which is 16.79% of the total cases of infection. The number of people who lost their lives due to the infection has gone up to 2,04,832 after 3,645 people died in a day. While the national rate of recovery from corona has come down to 82.10 per cent. So far, 1,50,86,878 people in India have recovered from infection.
