Mumbai: The Covid-19 pandemic has adversely affected all sectors of society, but economical weaker section has been worst hit by the virus. The virus has even forced school students to work to earn for bread and butter. Subhan's father has left him when he was just 2-year-old. Talking about his studies, He said, “My father died 12 years ago. My sisters study via online classes, I’ll resume mine after schools reopen.”

Talking about corona cases, the virus is wreaking havoc in India. With 48,648 new Covid-19 infections, India's total cases surge to 80,88,851. With 563 new deaths, toll mounts to 1,21,090. The slower pace of daily infections and an improved recovery rate have led to a fairly drastic decline in active cases.active cases are 5,94,386 after a drop of 9301 in last 24 hrs. Total cured cases are 73,73,375 with 57,386 new discharges in last 24 hrs.Meanwhile, a mathematical model by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) has projected the caseload reaching 14.57 million by January 2021.
