Jaipur:  Police have arrested an accused in the gang rape of a minor girl in Karauli district of Rajsthan. It is being told that the accused had been absconding for the past 13 months. Police arrested him from Surat city in Gujarat. Mahila THANA Officer Vasudev Baswal has informed that Virendra's son Sohanlal Jatav, accused of raping the minor girl, is 20 years old and is a resident of Bakhatpura police station Masalpur. 

The accused had gone to Surat city in Gujarat to escape from the police and was hiding there. Police traced him on the basis of mobile location and transactions from the bank account and laid a trap and arrested him. Police have informed that the accused, along with some of his accomplices, had molested a 14-year-old minor girl and committed the gang-rape with her. 

The FIR stated that on January 25, 2021, at around 3 pm, his 14-year-old minor was  sleeping in the house, during which Sanjay, Anil and Virendra came to the house and forcibly picked up the minor and took her to Hakimpura village in Masalpur area. While the victim was raped in turn,   two of the accused had already been arrested by the police, the search for the third was on for a long time.
