New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of Delhi led by Arvind Kejriwal is going to induct 150 electric buses in the public fleet. CM Arvind Kejriwal will flag off these electric buses from IP depot today. The people of Delhi will be able to travel free of cost for three days in these electric buses ready to hit the roads and during this time passengers will also get a chance to win an iPad.

It is being told that these state-of-the-art buses with zero smoke, zero emission have CCTV cameras, GPS, 10 panic buttons, special ramps keeping in mind the differently-abled passengers. For the maintenance of these 150 buses, three depots have been set up at Mundelkalan, Rajghat and Rohini Sector-37. According to the information received from the Delhi Transport Department, there are plans to put 150 more e-buses on the road in the coming few months.

Buses will operate on this route:-

According to the information, the operation of these electric buses is on the main route of Delhi- Ring Road, Teevar Mudrika, Route No. 502 between Mori Gate and Mehrauli Terminal. These buses will also be from Route No. E-44 IP Depot at Connaught Place, Safdarjung, South Extension, Ashram, Jangpura, India Gate. Passengers traveling in these buses will not have to pay any fare till May 26.
