Bhubaneswar: With the arrival of 1,699 new cases of corona in Odisha in one day, the number of cases of corona infection has crossed 40 thousand on Thursday. The death toll of ten more due to corona infection has reached 235. An officer of the Health Department said that the most affected by Corona infection in the state i.e. 3 hotspots in Ganjam district, 2 in Sundargarh, and 1 in Bhadrak, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Nabarangpur, and Nayagarh were killed.
A 45-year-old patient infected with corona infection in Ganjam lost his life, but the department said that he died due to other health reasons. The officer said that the first death occurred from Corona in the Nabrangpur district. In this case, he told that a total of 1,699 new cases of corona infection were reported in the state, which has increased the number of infected to 40,717.
New cases of Corona have come out from 29 districts. Of these, maximum number of 268 cases have been reported in Ganjam, 220 in Khurda, 178 in Sundargarh, 105 in Cuttack, and 101 in Sambalpur. The officer said that 1,073 people were found infected with isolated centers. People coming into contact with the infected are being tracked. The department said that there are still 14,699 corona patients in Odisha, while 25,738 patients have been cured. On Wednesday, 15,086 samples were investigated in the state. So far, a total of 6,00,591 people have been investigated for corona.
