New Delhi hosted the 16th International Energy Forum Ministerial Meeting.The biennial IEF Ministerial Meetings are the world's largest congregation of Energy Ministers who exchanged their views in a dialogue on global energy issues.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed 16th International Energy Forum Ministerial Meet.Together With PM Narendra Modi at 16th International Energy Forum 2018 Petroleum Ministers from 42 countries attending the Meet.
In his address, PM Modi introduced four pillars of Energy.
“My vision for India's energy future has four pillars - Energy access, energy efficiency, energy sustainability and energy security”, PM Narendra Modi at IEF 16.
“We are entering to an era of energy abundance. People must have access to clean, affordable and sustainable and equitable supply of energy”, PM Modi added.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded his govt towards boosting in local manufacturing through Make in India & filling of youth in industries such as textile, petrochemical, engineering.
Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj will deliver the valedictory address at the Concluding session on 12th of this month. Apart from member countries, 20 other countries where India has oil and gas engagements are invited.
Worth mention here, The IEF has 72 countries as its members and they account for almost 90% of global supply and demand for oil and gas.
