Shimla: Coronavirus troubled the whole world. All possible efforts are being made to curb it. 16 people have died of coronavirus in Himachal Pradesh. On Tuesday, a 78-year-old woman infected with COVID-19 of Sandhol died in Nerchowk Medical College and Hospital in Mandi.

According to the information received, the woman went to her nephew's wedding in Panchkula, Haryana, and returned home on 7 August. CMO Mandi Dr Devendra has confirmed the death due to COVID-19. Two people died of COVID-19 in the state on Monday. The number of COVID-19 infected is increasing continuously in the state. 14 new COVID-19 patients have been reported in Chamba on Tuesday morning.

All the people are residents of Mohalla and have been found infected by coming in contact with covid19 positive. The infected are being shifted to the COVID Care Center. The number of active cases in the city has increased to 143. A case has also come up in Purana Jubbal of Shimla city. The report of infected arrived from Bihar on 29 July has come positive. Along with this, the total number of COVID-19 infected in the state has reached 3478. There are 1230 active cases. 2195 patients have recovered. The cases of corona are continuously increasing in the state.
