17 killed, 30 injured in Hangu blast,Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan

Karachi: Seventeen people were killed in a blast in Lower Orakzai region of Hangu in Pakistan on Friday. As per reports, the explosion HAPPENED outside a religious seminary. In this blast thirty people have reported to be injured.

In fact Friday has turned out a dark day for Pakistan as many people here have lost their lives in today's two blasts. In the first shootout and blast in Karachi, two policemen lost their lives and after that, at least 17 people were killed while many people were injured in the blast in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Some of the injured are in critical situation.

This blast occurred in Hangu in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The injured have been taken to a nearby hospital. Until the news was written, the reasons for the blast could not be ascertained. According to witnesses, the security forces have siege the entire area and have started their operation. None of the statements is issued by the security agencies.

In another incident, two cops and three terrorists were today killed in firing near Chinese Consulate in Karachi’s Clifton area in Pakistan, as news agency ANI reported. One person has reported to be injured, the identity of whom is still to be ascertained. High Alert has been sounded across the country. According to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South Javed Alam Odho, the incident took place at around 9:30 AM, Geo TV reported. “Three to four men attempted to enter the Chinese consulate and fired upon being stopped by security guards,” sources said. The sources added that the security forces deployed outside the Chinese consulate retaliated to the firing. The blast was heard during the exchange of fire.
