Lucknow: Police have finally registered a case against the culprit in the case of rape of a girl and extorting Rs 17 lakh in Uttar Pradesh's Majhola area. The girl had been making rounds of the police station and outpost for about a month. The SSP investigated the matter with the CO. Thereafter, he ordered the registration of a case.
The girl, who lives in the Majhola area, said in the case filed that her father and brother were killed in June 2020. She is the only one left in the family. She had received financial assistance of Rs 17 lakh from the government. Due to this, Anand Rahi, a resident of Across the Line in the Majhola area, contacted her and assured her of help. A few days later, the criminal, Anand Rahi, tricked her into marrying her and raped her.
The victim said that in the meantime, the criminal also grabbed Rs 17 lakh from the girl. The girl says she is 5 months pregnant. Even after this, the criminal was not ready to get married. The girl said that when she put pressure on Anand Rahi for marriage, he got angry and entered the house and assaulted the girl. ASP Sagar Jain said that a case has been registered against the culprit on the girl's complaint. A police team is on the lookout for the culprit. He will be arrested soon.
