Thunderstorm kills 17 in UP, 19 injured

Lucknow: 17 people have lost their lives in separate incidents of lightning in UP while 19 people are reported to be injured. According to official data, the districts where human losses have been caused due to this natural calamity have resulted in 3 deaths in Hardoi, 2 each in Amethi, Sitapur, Balrampur Ghazipur and Jalaun. 1  death from each in Fatehpur, Unnao, Badaun and Gonda is also reported.

In case of injuries, 11 persons were injured in the natural calamity, 11 in Janpad Hardoi, 3 in Jalaun, 2 in Sitapur and 1 each in Amethi, Moradabad and Badaun. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep condolences over the loss of 17 lives in natural disaster incidents in different districts. He expressed condolences to the families of the deceased. Giving this information here on Monday, a yogi government spokesman said that CM Yogi has instructed the district magistrates of the concerned district magistrates to provide quick permissible relief funds to the dependents of the deceased.

He said, a relief amount of Rs 4.4 lakh should be distributed promptly to the families of those who died in the natural calamity. At 19 people were also injured in natural disasters, including thunderstorms, celestial lightning. The Yogi has instructed the authorities to make proper arrangements for the treatment of the injured. He has said that no laxity will be tolerated in relief operations. In this hour of crisis, the state government is with the victims and all possible assistance will be given to them.
