Srinagar: At least 12 CRPF jawans were killed on Thursday afternoon In a major terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. The attack took place in Awantipora town in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.

According to reports of New agency ANI, The terrorists targeted a convoy of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Two buses in the CRPF convoy were targeted. The terrorists first triggered a high-intensity IED blast and followed it up with firing in Awantipora’s Goripora area. Dozens were injured as well in the biggest attack of 2019. Death toll could rise further.

As per reports, one of the CRPF buses, which were attacked on the Srinagar-Jammu highway in Awantipora, was reduced to a mangled heap of iron.

This is the biggest terror attack in the state in months.

The Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror group took responsibility for the terror attack.
