Pirates kidnapped 18 Indians aboard a Hong Kong-flagged ship near the Nigerian coast. A global agency that monitors maritime incidents has given this information. It is being told that the ship is safe and under the supervision of the Nigerian Navy.

For your information, after the news of the kidnapping of Indians, the Indian Mission based in Nigeria contacted the officials of the African nation to find out the information related to the incident and save the kidnapped Indians.

On Tuesday, 'ARX Maritime', which has tracked the movements of the ships, has told on its website that the pirates took possession of the ship. They abducted 19 people aboard the ship, of which 18 are Indians and one Turkish citizen. On the evening of December 3, while passing through the Nigerian coast, the Hong Kong-flagged 'VLCC, NAVE constellation' was attacked by pirates.
