Uber statement said, “Given the threat to the livelihood of our partners, at the expense of reliability, we are temporarily suspending surge with immediate effect,”
After Uber, Ola too had suspended surge pricing in the national capital. However, Gopal Rai,the Delhi Transport Minister, made an appeal to the commuters to register complaints against taxi-services charging high fares.
