18-year-old murdered after a tiff over sharing stolen goods

On Monday, the police arrested two suspects on the charge of killing an 18-year-old man near Chengalpet, Chennai. According to the police reports, the murder has been done by slitting the throat of the man and also by stabbing him. After killing both the suspected accused dumped the man's body into bushes. 

According to the reports in TOI, the primary investigation revealed that the man was murdered by his own friends over a tiff in sharing stolen goods. Also, the police officials said that there is another reason for the murder which can be over establishing territorial supremacy.

Leading to the further investigations in the case, the police have identified the deceased as Navin Kumar. He is identified to be the resident of Thattan Malai in Chengalpet. Navin's body was found with the hands and legs tied up. Police reports say that there are deep injuries on Navin's neck and the body was recovered from Periya Natham Mummalai forest area.

Reports revealed that earlier Navin Kumar had faced disputes with the youngsters residing in the neighbouring K.K. Street. Based on the suspension, the local police has apprehended two suspected accused, Pravin Kumar and Abhishek in connection with the murder.

While doing further investigations, the police officials were informed by the neighbours that Navin and Abishek had been fighting for establishing supremacy in the area.
