Mumbai: Anukreethy Vas has crones as the 55th Femina Miss India World 2018 winner. She hails from Tamil Nadu, while first runner-up in the beauty pageant is Meenakshi Chaudhary who hails from Haryana. Second runner-up is Shreya Rao from Andhra Pradesh.

Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar crowned her successor Anukreethy at the splendid gala finale on Tuesday night in Mumbai at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium.

The just-crowned Miss India World 2018 Anukreethy is a student of Loyola College, Chennai and pursuing B.A. in French to become an interpreter. Raised by a single mother the Ninteen-year-old wishes to become a supermodel as she loves facing the camera and to grab the headlines.

The judges` panel included some of the iconic personalities like actor Bobby Deol, Kunal Kapoor, Malaika Arora, fashion designer Gaurav Gupta and cricketer Irfan Pathan, along with Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar.

Manushi has accorded the crown of Miss World 2017 last year, after Priyanka Chopra hold the title in 2000.

 Worth mention here the event was hosted by Bollywood filmmaker and producer Karan Johar and ‘Vicky donnar’ fame actor Ayushmann Khurrana. At the grand finale ‘Chitiya Kaliya’ fame Jacqueline Fernandez set the stage on fire by shaking a leg on Priyanka Chopda’s famous dance number "Desi Girl".

Dhak-Dhak Girl and Dancing diva actress Madhuri Dixit Nene performed a beautiful dance number during the India round along with her co-dancers presenting different forms of Indian classical dance.

Bollywood ‘s most stunning mom Kareena Kapoor Khan performed on "Tareefa" from her latest and much box office hit  released film "Veere Di Wedding".

Neha Dhupia, Rakul Preet Singh, Pooja Chopra and Pooja Hegde groomed all the selected participants .
