New Delhi: With the decline in new cases of corona, many districts of the country are gradually becoming corona free. So far there are 191 districts in which no new case of corona has been reported for seven or more days. Health Minister Harsh Vardhan has given information about this in the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Corona. India has reached the fifth position among the countries giving vaccine of Corona in just 11 days.

According to Harshvardhan, there are a total of 146 districts in the country, in which no new case of corona has been exposed for the past seven days. On the other hand, a new case has not been registered for the last 14 days in 18 districts, in the last 21 days in six districts and in the last 28 days in 21 districts. About two-thirds of new and active cases of corona are confined to Kerala and Maharashtra. Vaccination in India is also catching up with the fall in corona cases. According to Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, India has been able to provide vaccines to 28.5 million health workers in just 11 days. It has become the fifth country in the world.

The vaccination started in India on January 16, while other countries have been vaccinating since the first week of December. The pace of vaccination campaign in India can be gauged from the fact that 10 lakh people have been vaccinated in just six days. Whereas, it took 10 days for the vaccine to the same number of people, 12 days for Spain, 14 days for Israel, 18 days for Britain, 19 days for Italy, 20 days for Germany and 27 days for the UAE.
