Raipur: During the last twenty-four hours in Chhattisgarh, 1916 people have been found infected with COVID19. The number of corona cases has increased to 35,303. Officials of the state health department have told on Wednesday that 1916 cases of corona have been reported. This includes 674 from Raipur District, 208 from Durg, 194 from Bilaspur, 138 from Raigad, 96 from Rajnandgaon, 80 from Mahasamund, 66 from Balod, 56 from Dhamtari, 51 from Janjgir-Champa, 40 from Balodabazar, 38 from Korba, Bijapur. 35, 29 from Bastar, 27 from Surguja, 21-21 from Mungeli and Jashpur, 17 from Sukma, 16-16 from Gariaband, Kondagaon, Dantewada and Narayanpur, 15 from Korea, 12 from Bemetra, 10 from Kabirdham, Balrampur and Kanker. 5 cases have been reported from Surajpur.

Officials told about this that senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party in the state and former Mayor of Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation, Shobha Soni, died in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur, during treatment. So far, three hundred people have died due to corona infection in the state.

Officers further informed that 6,09,578 samples have been investigated so far in Chhattisgarh. Of these, 35,330 people have been tested COVID19. 18,220 patients have recovered from corona, while 16810 patients are being treated in the state. Corona infection has been confirmed in the maximum number of 12,677 people in Raipur district. In the district, 155 people have died of corona infection.
