The much awaited film 2.0 of this year starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar in the key roles is at last releasing tomorrow, i.e. November 29, 2018. Directed by Shankar, the mega budget film so far is a sequel to 2010 film Enthiran and the craze around the film’s release is immense with advance ticket booking already has set the new records at the box office braking all existing record. While the makers of 2.0 have all set up for the release, apparently, the Cellular Operators Association of India, COAI, has registered a complaint against the sci-fi movie. The film has faced trouble just a day ahead of its release.

Actually the makers of 2.0 are accused of promoting “obscurantist and anti-scientific outlook toward mobile phone, towers and mobile services” in the movie.

COAI in the complaint noted that the movie is wrongly showing mobile phones and mobile towers as damaging. Reports suggested that the complaint has been sent to the CBFC and Ministry of Information and technology. The complaint also demands a review of the movie ahead of the release as the trailer and teaser of 2.0 have showed mobile phones and mobile towers as harmful with no solid proof. But the makers of the film 2.0 have not spoken up on the crucial subject yet.
