2 Sub-committees to be formed to aid the FATA-KP amalgamation

 Pakistan's present government recently formed two sub-committees to check and look after the financial requirements for the previous Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and to speed up the process of its amalgamation with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).

According to the reports by the Tribune, the need for the sub-panels was felt and executed during a meeting of another committee which is formed to support and aid the coalition of FATA and Provincially Administered Tribal Areas (PATA) with the K-P in line with the recently-passed 25th Constitutional Amendment.

The meeting was headed by the Minister for Law and Justice Ali Zafar at the Ministry of States and Frontier Regions (Safron). Both the leaders agreed on a smooth merging process to be accepted.

Zafar released a press statement stating, "All immediate steps including administrative, financial and judicial must be taken for long-term guidelines as the merger implementation process must be made smooth and successful at all costs."

Later, the decisions made and the postulates of the meeting were revealed and discussed. 

 

According to sources, in the meeting headed by Ali Zafar discussed and pondered over the rehabilitation of the internally displaced people (IDP) in the various areas. the meeting concluded on taking some sincere steps towards the welfare of the IDPs.
