He said, after paying the Ruppe card and Bhima app, a 20% cashback will be given in the tax. This cashback will be up to Rs 100. Sushil Modi said that one and a half dozen states including Bihar have agreed to join the Digital Incentive Pilot Scheme.

By the way, this GST Council meeting was held to discuss the problems of small and medium businesses (MSME). But they have not got any relief right now. However, Finance Minister Piyush Goyal said that a Group of Ministers (GOM) has been constituted on their problems and issues. The group, headed by Union Finance Minister Shiv Pratap Shukla, will include Finance Minister of Delhi, Bihar, Kerala, Punjab, and Assam.

The committee will see the Law Committee on the legal aspects related to the MSME sector and the tax-related matters. GOM will discuss the subject with both of them, which will be placed in front of the GST Council. The next meeting of GST Council will be held on 28-29 September in Goa.

28th meeting was held in many big decisions

Earlier, in the 28th meeting of the GST Council, decisions were taken on many issues. The biggest decision in the meeting was taken with sanitary napkins. The sanitary napkins placed in the 12 percent GST slab were tax-free. On the other hand, 17 items of domestic use were removed from 28 percent GST slab. These include items like washing machines, fridges, TVs (up to 25 inches), video games, vacuum cleaners, trailers, juice mixers, grinders, showers and hair dryer, water coolers, lithian ion batteries, electronic iron (press).

In this meeting, the GST Council took a big decision for businessmen too. According to this, traders with a turnover of up to Rs 5 crores will not be required to file returns every month. The Council has approved the filling of quarterly returns for them. Although tax payouts will be monthly. This gives relief to about 93 percent of traders. At the same time, the Council simplified the return filing process for the businessmen. Although earlier the filing of the return filing was improved, the complaints of traders were coming in spite of this.
