2-hour relaxation from curfew in Khargone today, govt appeals to Muslim organisations

Khargone: Madhya Pradesh has announced a two-hour relaxation from curfew in Khargone district today. Curfew will be relaxed from 10 to 12 o'clock. This discount will be for both men and women. So far, only women were allowed to step out at the time of curfew relaxations. Meanwhile, Muslims have announced to read the Jumei prayer from home in the fast today.  

In fact, violence broke out on the day of Ram Navami in Khargone. Here, some persons had pelted stones on the procession of Ram Navami. Thereafter, there was violence in the city. Curfew has been in force here since Sunday evening. So far only women were allowed to come out to pick up essentials. But now the administration has decided to relax the curfew for two hours on Friday.

On the other hand, people from the Muslim community in Khargone have decided to offer Juma prayers from home on Friday. In fact, there is still tension over the violence in Khargone. According to the local administration, the mosque committee representatives said that people from the society will offer prayers from home. The procession was taken out on the day of Ram Navami in Khargone. It is alleged that when the procession left near the mosque, some persons pelted stones at it. Thereafter, the people involved in the procession also pelted stones. Police have so far arrested 100 persons in connection with the case.
