Pilibhit, A vegetable vendor, shockingly, tied two minor children including a Dalit to a pole and brutally assaulted them for stealing vegetables.

The incident took place outside the shop in Sadar Kotwali area yesterday.

Inspector Hargovind Singh said, “children, in the age group of 10 to 12 years, were tied with a pole and brutally assaulted by vegetable vendor Nihal on the suspicion of stealing vegetables from his shop”.

The incident came into light when a passerby witnessed the incident and informed police which rescued the two children.

According to the police, vendor was booked on the charge of breach of peace and the boys were handed over to their family.
