Gopalganj: Two youths returning to Gopalganj by train from Tamil Nadu's capital Chennai after earning money suddenly deteriorated after consuming a cold drink at the railway station. It is being told that both of them started vomiting blood. According to the information received, the condition of the two youths is now serious and seeing this, they have been admitted to the emergency ward of Sadar Hospital where a team of doctors is engaged in their treatment. At the same time, the police of Sidhwalia police station have detained the shopkeeper who sold cold drinks and is interrogating him in the police station.

As per the information received in the case, Shailendra Kumar Mahato and Ramesh Mahato, both residents of Pachrukhiya village under Barauli police station area of Gopalganj district, used to work in Chennai. On Monday, while going home, the train came to a halt at Sher railway station and both of them got off there. To get relief from the heat here, he bought two cold drinks from a nearby shop and started drinking it. Their condition began to deteriorate as soon as they drank cold drinks. In such a situation, the two youths called the police station and informed them, after which the police, who reached the spot, reached Sadar hospital with both of them.

According to the information received in this case, as soon as they reached the hospital, both the youths started vomiting blood. At the same time, the doctor of the emergency ward, Dr Ramakant Singh said that due to the cold drink being too old due to the heat or getting damaged due to the sun, the lungs of the youth have been infected. After the treatment, the condition of the two youths has now improved. In this regard, Sidhwalia police station in charge Dhananjay Kumar said that the matter is under investigation. The shopkeeper is being questioned. The cold drink from which the two youths fell ill will be seized and sent to the lab for examination.
