In the NEET 2020 results declared, two students Delhi's Akansha Singh and Odisha's Soyeb Aftab has secured 720/720. But the former lost the top rank because of her younger age. Age is also a factors considered in the National Testing Agency's tie-breaking policy. According to the policy, the tie-breaking policy takes into account factors such as age, subject-wise marks and number of incorrect answers.

"Soyeb Aftab of Odisha and Akansha Singh of Delhi have both scored perfect 720 score in the NEET examination. The test was offered in 11 languages -- English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu this year on Septem 13 amid COVID-19 outbreak. The exam was earlier postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic, to avoid any academic losses the government proceeds with the examinations.
