The sci-fi movie 2.0 has entered into the second week of the release of and numbers from the box office are stunning. The movie has earned a gross collection of more than Rs 400 crore in less than a week and the Sunday of the second week witnessed a mammoth rise in the numbers for Rajinikanth ‘s 2.0.

Reports suggested that in Chennai, 2.0 has earned a gross collection of Rs 1.52 crore taking the total in the city to a whopping Rs 18.41 crore.  With this it has become the highest ever grosser for Rajinikanth, surpassing his previous films like Kaala and Kabali.

Collectively, 2.0 stand at a gross collection of Rs 603 crore roughly and.

Experts with the hope that it stands only next to Baahubal  predicted that the numbers may witness a rise in the coming days owing to the holidays, especially in Tamil.

2.0 is a sequel to the 2010 release Enthiran . It is directed by Shankar. It features Rajinikanth in lead role. Bollywood's Akshay Kumar also plays a pivotal role in the movie.

Trade experts foresee that 2.0, going by the run, will soon beat the records set by the magnum opus Baahubali and it will emerge as the biggest film in India.
