In the recent past, every fifth family in Japan is using electronic money for small purchases. According to the same survey, it has been revealed that 18.5 percent of the families said that they make purchases up to one thousand yen through smartphone app, debit card payment and other electronic payment mediums. It has increased by 15.4 percent over the previous year.

According to the information received, let us tell you that this increase has been seen in the government's appeal to promote electronic money. Households that are aged between 20 and 30 years use 35.6 percent more electronic money than other families. However, despite the increase in electronic payments, 84 percent of people in Japan are still using cash i.e. notes and coins.

Some of the same experts say that while electronic payment of 10 thousand yen to 50 thousand yen is only 3.4 percent. The low criminal rate and strong network of ATMs in the country are still increasing people's trust in cash.
