200 crude bombs recovered in Bengal amidst electoral stir

Kolkata: During the assembly elections in West Bengal, the police have got great success. Police have recovered about 200 crude bombs from the Bhangar area of South 24 Parganas district. This is a huge consignment of bomb recovery during elections. The Kashipur police are investigating the case and trying to find out where the bomb was to be used.

On Friday of last week, there was a crude bomb blast in South 24 Parganas, due to which one Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker was killed, while five workers were injured. The condition of two of them is critical and was referred to the Government Hospital in Kolkata. The West Bengal Police claimed that the injured BJP workers were making crude bombs after the blast. The injured BJP workers were identified as Shovan Debnath, Vikram Sheel, Arpan Debnath, Swapan Kurali, and Mahadev Naik. However, one of the injured claimed that they were having food on Friday evening when crude bombs were hurled at them.

In this case, Gosaba's TMC candidate Jayant Naskar had alleged that BJP candidate Barun Pramanik is planting crude bombs at some places in connivance with miscreants, on the other hand, BJP candidate Barun Pramanik accused the Trinamool Congress of attacking BJP workers.
