200 Omicron patients, Delhi-Maharashtra raised tension again, Will there be a lockdown?

New Delhi: Cases of new Omicron variants of coronavirus are growing rapidly in India. As of Tuesday morning, 200 cases of Omicron have been registered in the country. Maharashtra and the national capital Delhi have reported the highest number of cases. 54 cases of Omicron have been registered in Delhi, out of which 12 patients have recovered and 42 patients are in hospitals and isolation.

Maharashtra has also registered 54 cases so far, but the number of recovering patients is higher than in Delhi. There are 28 omicron patients who recovered. Telangana ranks third in Delhi and Maharashtra as well as the highest number of cases, where 20 cases have been registered. On the other hand, 19 cases have been reported in Karnataka, 18 in Rajasthan. Karnataka is ranked fourth, with 19 cases registered.

This has been followed by 18 cases in Rajasthan, 15 in Kerala, 14 in Gujarat, 2 cases of Omicron from Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, 1-1 Omicron cases have been reported in West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh, and Tamil Nadu. Several states have imposed separate restrictions on the rapidly spreading infection of Omicron.
