NEW DELHI: The CBI has registered a case against Sanjay Bhandari, close to Robert Vadra, the brother-in-law of Congress President Rahul Gandhi and husband of party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. The CBI said on Saturday that a case has been registered against arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari and unidentified officials of the Indian Air Force and Defence Ministry in the 2009 training aircraft deal case.

A senior CBI official said, "Both the directors of Offset India Solutions Pvt. Ltd. on Wednesday over alleged irregularities in the purchase of 75 Basic Trainer aircraft in 2009, Bhandari and Bimal Darren and Switzerland-based aircraft were to be built. A case has been registered against the officials of the company Pilatus Aircraft Limited. '

He has said that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has alleged that bribes of up to Rs 339 crore were given in the deal. The CBI had earlier registered a preliminary inquiry (PE) on November 11, 2016, to probe the bribery allegations. He has said that the Swiss company was one of the applicants for the tenders sought for the deal in 2009. Now, Robert Vadra's problem has become more and more.
