Indian team captain Virat Kohli has recalled the Test match played in Adelaide in 2014 which according to him will always be a milestone for Indian cricket. First Test match played on 9–13 December and the Indian team had given a tough challenge to the team headed by Michael Clarke. India could not win the match despite Kohli's hundreds in both innings.

Posting a photo on his Instagram, Kohli wrote, 'This test has been a very important part of the journey of the team. In the Test match played in Adelaide in 2014, there was a lot of emotion from both the teams and it was also fantastic for those who saw it.

He said, 'Though we did not win it but it taught us that if we put everything in our way then anything is possible because we are dedicated to doing something that is very difficult to start, we almost won this match. We were all dedicated to it. Australia had declared the first innings for 517 runs at the loss of seven wickets in that match. David Warner, Michael Clarke, Steve Smith scored centuries.
