Due to the lockdown, many launches in the auto sector have been postponed. One of them was Triumph Motorcycle India which postponed its launch due to lockdown. The company was initially going to launch the Triumph Street Triple RS on 25 March, but due to the lockdown, it was not launched and now the company has decided to launch it after second phase lockdown. Triumph Motorcycle India is now going to launch its updated Street Triple RS on 22 April 2020.

The company will offer lines of LED daytime running lights on twin headlamps with new LED headlights. The new Street Triple will be kept in line with the latest Bharat Stage 6 (BS6) emission standards. The new Street Triple RS will be the company's first motorcycle to be launched in the year 2020. The new Street Triple RS will get the same dimensions and the same chassis, but there are some changes in its styling.

The company has provided an eyebrows-like LED DRL line on the 2020 Street Triple RS headlights to woo customers. The TFT instrument console will also be new and it will get new body panels, flyscreen, side panels, seat cowl and belly pan. Along with this, the 2020 Street Triple RS will get two new colours - Diablo Red and Aluminum Silver Decals with Silver Ice and Aluminum Silver and Yellow Decals with Matte Jet Black.
