The 2022 Yamaha Aerox 155 has been first introduced in the Indonesian market. The identical model is scheduled to be released in India later this year. The scooter has been redesigned for 2022, primarily with minor changes. As part of the annual update, the scooter now comes in six new colour variations.

While the ABS trim of the scooter now comes in Matte Black Gold and Matte White Gold colours, the 'Connected' edition now comes in Matte Black Cyan, Dark Grey Yellow, Black with Red highlights, and Red with contrasting Black bodywork.

Apart from the addition of new colour options, the rest of the scooter is mostly unchanged. The same 155cc liquid-cooled engine with VVA technology powers the scooter. For the record, the engine is the same as the one found in the Yamaha YZF-R15 motorbike. The engine is linked to a CVT transmission that produces a maximum power output of 15 horsepower.

Yamaha has just updated the Nmax 155 scooter with new colours, in addition to the new Aerox. Nmax, like Aerox, is powered by the same engine and rides on the same platform as the YZF-R15. The Aerox and the Nmax are similar in that they are both based on the same technology and idea. As a result, Yamaha Motor India is unlikely to introduce the Nmax 155 to the Indian market anytime soon.
