The Porsche 911's most track-focused model in the new 992 generation GT3 RS lineup features numerous mechanical and aerodynamic improvements. The redesigned GT3 RS now has active front wing elements, L-shaped vents on the now superfluous frunk, and numerous winglets and fins surrounding the wheel arches.

The enormous two-part rear spoiler with an adjustable top-wing, which performs similarly to the drag reduction system on an F1 car, is the most noticeable aerodynamic modification, though. A modernised diffuser with an exhaust positioned in the middle is also included on the back. According to Porsche, all aerodynamic surfaces produce 409 kg of downforce at 200 km/h, which is twice as much as the previous model.

In addition to the improved aerodynamics, Porsche claims the new GT3 RS has a multi-link arrangement at the back with rear-axle steering and a double-wishbone front axle with teardrop-shaped profiles.

A huge central touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster are just a couple of the features and technology included within the GT3 RS. The vehicle has two bucket seats made of carbon fibre and a steering wheel with rotary dials for controlling the drive modes and other functions. As a component of the ClubSport pack, a roll cage is available. Porsche also sells the Weissach package for the GT3 RS, which comes with a lot of extra carbon fibre parts and other lightweight components all around the car.

Powering the 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a 4.0-litre naturally-aspirated flat-6 engine, producing 523 BHP and is paired to a 7-speed PDK transmission. The GT3 RS is capable of sprinting from 0 - 100 in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 296 km/h.

The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS is priced at around 230,000 euros. While the order books are open, deliveries are expected to begin early next year.
