21 years old woman assaulted and left on the road for Stray dogs

A 21-year-old woman abused and physically assaulted by North Bengaluru’s Mahalakshmi Layout on Wednesday night.

The victim is identified as Tarini, the incident took place at the 8th cross in Mahalakshmi Layout, approached the police on Thursday morning and registered an FIR against two men and few others.

In her complaint, Tarini stated, “It all started with feeding strays in my area. Last evening when I was feeding them, two men, along with others, assembled there and began harassing me. They started hurling abuses. When I objected, they began misbehaving with me.”

One of the persons from the crowd pushed her, pulled her dress. When her mother and sister came to rescue her, they attacked them as well. Tarini’s sister was hit by a bottle while they manhandled my mother.

The cops were informed who then visited the spot on Wednesday night. Tarini said though the police had initially agreed to take a complaint, later allegedly told her not to feed the dogs.

On Thursday morning, the complainant approached the police and lodged an FIR. In her plaint, the victim has also expressed that she has been threatened by the people in the area and demanded police protection.

The jurisdictional police have registered a complaint and begun investigation.
