23 suspected terrorists escaped from Bihar, are connected to PFI terror module

Patna: Twenty-three suspected terrorists are said to be on the run after the terror camp of radical Islamic outfit Popular Front of India (PFI) was busted at Phulwari Sharif in Bihar's capital Patna. The SIT and ATS of Bihar Police are conducting searches in several districts of Bihar to search for them. Raids are being conducted at PFI and SDPI locations in Patna, Muzaffarpur, Motihari, Darbhanga, Chhapra and other districts. The SIT is now preparing to paste their posters from place to place.

According to the report, a case was registered against more than two dozen people after the terror training camp was busted from the PFI office in Phulwari Sharif. Of these, 23 suspected terrorists are still on the run. All of them are residents of different districts of Bihar. All of them are associated with the PFI and its political wing SDPI. The SIT on Friday searched for them at the premises of PFI and SDPI on exhibition road at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Apart from this, raids were also conducted at several places in 10 other districts including Nalanda, Saran, Darbhanga, Madhubani, East Champaran, and Muzaffarpur. The ATS is also investigating the matter. The ATS contingent stayed at Phulwari Sharif till late in the night.  

Patna SSP Manavjit Singh Dhillon confirmed the action. He says the SIT is doing everything possible to arrest the absconding suspects. If these suspected terrorists are not caught soon, the police will apply to the court for an arrest warrant. After this, street posters will be pasted on the premises of the suspects and action will be taken to seize their property.
